Juan Carlos Casimiro

    Juan Carlos Casimiro Pinto was born in Madrid in 1961 and begins to study Music in 1983 combining his education with different electronic and computer jobs.

    In 1991, he obtains the Guitar Teaching title issued by the ‘Real Conservatorio Superior de Música’ of Madrid with Honours in Harmony and Accompanied Melody – 4th Course, after having been a pupil of Moreno Buendía and Román Alís.

    In 1992, after passing the corresponding public examination he starts to work as Harmony Professor in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música” in Gijón (Asturias - Spain), a profession that he has combined with his studies and composing activities since then.

    In 1997, he obtains the following Professor titles: in Solfeo, Theory of the Music, Transposition and Accompaniment, Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue, Composition and Instrumentation, and a distinction in Composition issued by the Conservatorio Profesional “Arturo Soria” in Madrid.

    In 1999, he gains the Superior Professor Title in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue, Composition and Instrumentation issued by the “Conservatorio Superior de Música” in Salamanca.

  • Equilibrios nocturnos sobre el Muro, for piano and symphonic orchestra.
  • SL-TN for flute, marimba and string quartet.
  • SAELIA for symphonic orchestra, marimba and soloist soprano.
  • BUSGOSU for string orchestra and soloist clarinet.
  • SOMIEDO for symphonic orchestra, chorus, tenor and soprano soloists, produced by and performed for the first time in the “Jovellanos Theater” in Gijón.
  • “AÑORANZAS” (Yearning) suite for a Christmas Carol, for symphonic orchestra and tenor soloist. Produced by the Spanish radio channel COPE and performed for the first time in the “Príncipe Felipe” Auditorium in Oviedo.
  • DANZA PRIMA for symphonic orchestra, chorus and tenor soloist, produced by and performed for the first time in the “Jovellanos Theater” in Gijón.
  • HIMNO URBAN. This piece of music won the first contest of “Musical Composition Urban” for the Project “URBAN cities of the Acero of Asturias”.
  • MAR (Sea) for two flutes, clarinet, trumpet, horn, trombone, contrabass, violin, violonchelo and piano.
  • LLUVIA (Rain) for two flutes, clarinet, trumpet, horn, violin, violonchelo and piano.
  • GOTA (Drop) for two flutes, clarinet, trumpet, horn, trombone, violin, violonchelo and piano.
  • Ballet EL SOL DE LAS BRUJAS (“The sun of the witches” ballet) for Symphonic Orchestra.
  • ESCENAS NAVIDEÑAS (Christmas Scenes) for Symphonic Orchestra. This piece of music was commissioned by the Porfessional Assotiation of Economists for the “Auditorium of Oviedo”.
  • FANTASÍA NAVIDEÑA (Christmas Fantasy) for Symphonic Orchestra. This piece of music was commissioned for the Avilés religious concerts.
  • TRÍPTICO ASTURIANO: CANCIÓN DE LA XANA, NUBERU, DANZA DE LOS TRASGOS. (Three-page leaflet: Xana´s song, Nuberu, Elves´ dance).
    These pieces of music were commissioned by the “Joven Orquesta de Asturias Julián Orbón” in collaboration with the company DU PONT.
  • LAS BODAS DE CANA (Wedding at Cana) for orchestra, white voices chorus, recitator and baritone. This music was commissioned by the XX week of religious music of Avilés (Spain).
  • PEQUEÑAS PIEZAS PARA VIOLÍN (Little pieces for violin), pedagogical music.
  • MINIATURAS PARA EVA (Miniatures for Eva) for flute and guitar.
  • TEMA Y VARIACIONES PARA OROUESTA SINFONICA (Theme and variations for symphonic orchestra), Extraordinary Award.
  • SONATA for violonchelo and piano.
  • PEQUEÑA SUITE (Little suite) for violin and piano.
